- Safety aspects of using and handling a rifle
- Different types of rifles
- Parts of a rifle
- Components of a cartridge
- Fundamentals of rifle shooting
- Range commands
- Shooting positions
- Cleaning and care of a rifle
Practical application is a two to three hour session at a safe, established shooting range using live-fire exercises during which students will practice the basic shooting fundamentals they just learned.
Students must not have been convicted of a felony. Minor students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
